During our trip to CES we had chance to visit GIGABYTE in their suite to discover new products and have some nice talk with Tim and Rita.
With the bunch of new motherboards that embed new SATA3 and USB3, the models stay the same, you can find them in shop by looking for an “A” in addition right after the chipset name. GA-P55-UD6 does not offer SATA3/USB3, but GA-P55A-UD6 does offer the SATA3 and USB3.
The USB 3 implementation is possible through a NEC chip.

We also had a bunch of information regarding the upcoming new flagship motherboard for P55 series called: GA-P55A-UD7. It features almost the same design and features as the X58A-UD7, with a NF200 chip for the additional PCI-Express lanes and the cooling is the hybrid Watercooling/aircooling we can find on the top high-end card from GIGABYTE.
