Today, we would like to introduce you to the low end P67 serie board from MSI. MSI has 8 boards based on the Intel P67 B3 chipset. The Big Bang Marshal (that we hope to receive very soon), the P67A-GD80, the P67A-GH65, the P67A-GD55, the P671-GH53, the P67A-C45 that we have in our labs today, the P67A-C43 and the P67S-C43.

The board in details
This P671-C45 has one 8-pin connector for the 12V power-supply and on 24pin standard connector.
The 1155 socket for the latest Intel Sandy Bridge CPU Support.
The MSI P67A-C45 also has 4 DDR3 slots up to 2133MHz
This board also has six Sata connectors. Sata1 and sata2 are the 6Gb/s ports (the white one, managed by the intel P67 chipset) and the four others (Sata3 to 6) are using the 3Gb/s norm.
The P67A-C45 has one PCI-E 16x slot, three PCI-E 1x and 3 basic PCI slots.
The back-plate of this board simply counts:
- 10 USB ports. 8 are usb2.0 and two (the blue ones) are usb 3.0 (through the NEC controller)
- On PS2 port for mice or keyboard.
- A clear Cmos button
- One optical S/PDIF out port
- One Coaxial S/PDIF out port
- One Firewire IEEE 1394 port
- One Lan RJ45 port
- Six jack audio ( Line in, Line out, Mic, RS Out, CS Out et SS Out )
This MSI board also has a three part independent cooling setup.
In order to cool properly all your different hardware pieces, this P67A-C45 offers five fan plugs (one 4pins and four 3pins).

This is the end of our quick presentation of this board. We won’t be testing it as it is a B2 stepping and because of the sata bug on this revision we prefer to not test it guarantying to our readers no ambiguity on the obtained results.
Sold at a price nearing the 120euros, this board fulfills the basic requirements awaited from an entry level board. Cheaper than the competitors we hop that she will be in the bestsellers of the entry level P67 boards of this year.
