Greetings from Malaysia!

It’s good to be back. This time with another event proudly brought to you by ASUS Malaysia & NVIDIA. ASUS Malaysia is well known for its commitment towards ‘high-end’ gaming, overclocking and promoting eSports throughout Malaysia. Attendees were given a chance not only to meet ASUS & NVIDIA representatives but also Malaysia’s 2 very own pro gamers. Miss Ashley ‘Summer Khoo and Chai ‘Mushi‘ Yee Fung.

The Venue

The event was held at Orange Internet Café in Kuala Lumpur. I’m pretty sure some of you guys might have heard of them before. Orange is well known for their Competitive Gaming Teams. Well back to the event :)

Hugo Hsu From Nvidia

Event introduction and greetings

We started off with Mr Hugo Hsu, TASA DT GPU Segment Sales Manager on the latest technologies of the latest NVIDIA GTX 600 series. Among the topics are the TXAA, Adaptive V-Sync, Unreal Engine 4, and a little bit of GRID and also on the newly announced Project SHIELD. Participants are not only given the chance to watch and listen to the demos but were also given a chance to try out all the features on their own as everyone is allocated a PC too.

Ashley ‘Summer’ Khoo

Demo time!

Next up, Malaysia’s very own sweetheart Miss Ashley ‘Summer’ Khoo. a Sudden Attack and Counter Strike pro. Getting her hands on the ASUS Demo Rig and her personal Razer gears, she amazed (lucky) participants with her skills in Borderlands 2. Well it’s not just about the gaming, Ashley was there to demonstrate the advantage with or without PhysX, only available in NVIDIA GPUs.

Summer answering questions

Participants were then invited by Ashley to come forward for some Q&A. She was kind enough to share her knowledge on PC Hardware specifications. (Lucky Guys)

After Summer, It’s Mushi turn to present. A cool, tall looking Chai ‘Mushi‘ Yee Fung is ranked 7th in the world for DOTA/DOTA2. For this event, he will be demonstrating TXAA and also the difference between high and low settings in DOTA 2.

A serious looking Mushi

Participants again were lucky. Mushi was asked to give a tip or two on how to be a good player in DOTA2 and of course he was very generous about it and share more than just tips. Among the questions asked, What is it to be like a pro gamer and how long do you spend per day gaming? Mushi spend at least 6 hours gaming per day. Awesome.

Also last but not least, participants were not only provided with fooddddd, they were also given a one of a kind personalized ROG|NVIDIA keychain ON THE SPOT and of course LUCKY DRAWS. (What is a event without them) 5 X Borderlands 2 to be given away. (I was one of the lucky ones)
