WIth the launch of the latest Intel X99 Chipset series, a lot of overclockers are complaining about very long loading time of a few benchmarks and tools.

While CPU-Z was impacted when launching the tool maybe due to memory detection (rumors.), Futuremark was also impacted and sometimes taking up to 7 min to calculate the score or simply crashing or hanging up at the end of the benchmark.

Futuremark realeased an updated version of their system info components with better support of the X99 Series of motherboard and associated CPUs.

SystemInfo is a component used in all Futuremark benchmarks to identify the hardware in the system. Installing SystemInfo 4.30 fixes a problem that could cause Futuremark benchmarks to crash or hang when benchmarking systems with the X99 chipset.

The update was released for 3DMark on Steam earlier today. The Steam versions of 3DMark 11 and PCMark 8 will get the update on Wednesday, as will all standalone versions of 3DMark and PCMark.

’till then, keep pushing it !
