Not event a month ago we were in Berlin, Germany for the final event of the HWBOT World Tour 2016 and it’s HWBOT World Championship final competition which crown Marc0053 as it’s ultimate champion.
On the following week (two weeks ago), HWBOT launched the HWBOT World Tour microsite and announced all the dates and stops of the year. First stop : Las Vegas, USA!
Moving from World Series to Overclocking World Championship
In 2016, the extreme competition from the HWBOT World Tour was name the “World Series” and the finals where the “HWBOT World Championship”. Now for 2017 onwards, things changed a little bit in the naming but the spirit remains identical.
The HWBOT World Tour events remain unchanged. Each event has a workshop to teach new comers, an ambient overclocking competition, an extreme overclocking competition and … of course, a gathering (aka. freestyle OC).
The World Series of each event becomes a Qualifier for the annual Overclocking World Championship (aka. OCWC) and this years Overclocking World Championship 2017 will see 10 scheduled Qualifier events all over the world – making it the largest overclocking championship we’ve ever seen!

For 2017, HWBOT chose OverClocking-TV as their official broadcaster for the Overclocking World Championship Qualifiers and Final events. It will be a pleasure for us to bring to you the best of such high profile international overclocking tournament and we are looking forward to it!
Live from Las Vegas!
We will be kicking our season of streams from Las Vegas, on the Gigabyte CES booth – where the HWBOT World Tour local event is being held. Our schedule is currently as following:
January 5th 2016 – Live Q&A and discussion about Intel’s upcoming CPU release
Stream starts in the afternoon around 2pm until 5/6pm … depending of what interesting there is to say.
January 6th 2016 – Overclocking World Championship – Las Vegas 2017 Qualifier
- Overclocker Preparation : from 9:30am until 12:00pm
- 1v1 Semi Finals matches : from 12:00pm until 2:00pm
- Bronze match : from 2:30pm until 3:30pm
- Final match : from 3:45pm until 4:45pm
- Award ceremony : from 5:00pm until 6:00pm
